Google launched the Android Go Edition project May last year, afterward introduced it to the Indian market a few weeks ago, verify the launch of Android Go Editon smartphones soon. Now, the latest report cites that Google has tied up with Micromax to launch the first Android Go smartphone in India. Micromax is anticipated to release this device at Rs. 2,000. The exact launch date of the device has not been revealed yet, but people believe that Micromax might launch this smartphone on the Republic Day of India (January 26) or in the same week.
Reports also mention that Google also has tied up with Intex, Karbonn and Lava to launch multiple Android Go smartphones. For those who are not familiar with Android Go, Google had launched an initiative that makes it easier to run a stripped-down version of Android on ultra-cheap smartphones.

Android Go devices will run major apps even with 512MB or 1GB of RAM. Google had already mentioned that these smartphones will have native Google apps like Gmail Go, Google Go, Google Maps Go, YouTube Go, Google Assistant Go, and Files Go.
Furthermore, the device chipset brands like Qualcomm and MediaTek had confirmed that they are working with Google to make cost-effective processing solutions and chipsets for the Android Go initiative. Qualcomm has started pushing its chipset to offer complete smartphone functionality with 1GB of RAM.
